The Photobooth Project, a hybrid art experience that combined performance, installation, public engagement and photography, first appeared at the 2006 Melbourne Fringe Festival where it won Best Special Event. The booth was a makeshift version of the traditional photo booth and offered participants a photographic souvenir, but with the catch that you had to have your photograph taken together with a stranger. Since 2006, the project has appeared at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Falls Festival and The White Street Project in Frankston.
